Park Jardin de las Naciones Garden

Gardens and Parks

The Jardin de las Naciones gardens with 40,000m² is one of the largest green spaces in the city. In addition there is a large lake, which records the outline of the European continent, and in which there are the many ducks, swans and a spectacular hot spring located.

Young people can play at a dinosaur slide or reside in the children’s park with many attractions. The Plaza del Molino spreads over 4,000m² and is due to its old windmill, which was built as a replica of the 19th century to grind corn and salt, is particularly unique.

But without a doubt, the most spectacular place in the city is the Plaza de la Constitución, houses the exactly the same prestigious building as the city hall and the Archpriestal Church of the Immaculate Conception Church. The place is filled with ocher and generally dark colors and has a small fountain in the form of a pebble.

In addition to the squares and parks in the city, we would especially highlight the Parque del Rincón de Asturias, Parque del Salinero, Jardín del Mediterráneo, Parque de Antonio Soria, Plaza Castelar (previously called Plaza de las Barcas), Plaza de la Marina Española, and the Plaza de María Asunción.

Near the port city, the Plaza Waldo Calero is pleasant with its ceramic benches that were inspired by the continuous and irregular waves of the sea and a fountain that cools this point.
