Yoga and sports activities at the Costa Blanca on the beach of Mil Palmeras.


The event “Hibernis Mare 2016 – Pilar de la Horadada I Playa de Invierno Mil Palmeras”, was with more than 60 people taking part in Yoga classes on the beach, a full success.  Four days in row participants were able to try Yoga classes, Tai-Chi and other activities on the beach in Mil Palmeras. Every weekend during the winter months there will be free Yoga classes and other sportive but also relaxing activities in Mil Palmeras.

Yoga at the Costa Blanca is a big thing and the pavilion on the beach in Mil Palmeras offers a unique environment for Yoga courses. The free classes are organised by the tourism office in Pilar de la Horadada, which was already really popular last year. The upcoming months, from the 29th of September 2016 until the 11th of December 2016, you are able to take part in the free sport and Yoga classes which are hosted on the beach in Mil Palmeras. Everyone is heartily welcome and Torrevieja is just 20 minutes away by car.


Yoga Costa Blanca – What is Yoga?

Yoga is a sport which helps to bring your body and soul into harmony. This is tried to be accomplished due to stretching exercises, different positions to improve the balance and breathe control. Many of the participants of the Yoga classes in Mil Palmeras use towels, as they conduct the exercises right on the beach. Practicing Yoga brings many benefits. For instance, stress relief, better sleep, reduced tensions and improved concentration. Overall more energy and more joy in living. Other sportive activities held on the beach in Mil Palmeras.

The offering of the community of Pilar de la Horadada comprises a variety of sportive activities for young and old. Every weekend free workshops and courses will be hosted for example, Yoga, Tai-Chi, Zumba, water sports or rollerblading. Most of the times, classes are held in Spanish, so you can improve your Spanish, your fitness and have fun at the same time.  Don’t worry though, even if you don’t speak any Spanish you will have no problems to follow the instructions. The classes start every Saturday and Sunday at 09.30 am and they last for about an hour. If you need more specific information of which course is at what time you can ask the contact person on site.



By car the beach of Mil Palmeras can be reached in 20 minutes from Torrevieja, there are plenty of parking spaces on site. Too, you can find many restaurants, beach bars and other shops to get refreshments or have breakfast after you finished your class.
